OnePlus has forged a partnership with JioMart Digital, a venture under Reliance Industries, aimed at expanding its retail reach in India. This alliance is set to broaden the availability of OnePlus products across more than 2,000 cities and towns in the country. The strategic move follows recent challenges faced by OnePlus in the retail sector, including disputes over profit margins and delays in claim processing, prompting concerns from various retail chains.
Through this collaboration, OnePlus intends to leverage JioMart Digital’s extensive distribution network of over 63,000 retail stores to offer its range of smartphones, earbuds, wearables, and other products. Consumers will now have easier access to OnePlus devices, including in tier 3 and tier 4 cities, thanks to the expanded presence facilitated by JioMart Digital.
Ranjeet Singh, Director of Sales at OnePlus, expressed optimism about the partnership, highlighting the enhanced accessibility and personalized experience for consumers. This move comes in response to recent developments where certain retail associations threatened to halt sales of OnePlus products due to unresolved issues such as warranty claim delays and profit margin concerns.
OnePlus is actively engaging with its retail partners to address these issues and ensure a smoother retail experience for customers. The timing of this expansion coincides with the launch of the OnePlus Nord CE 4, available for purchase starting at Rs. 24,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
